DIE AS I LIVED (Saturday 03/05/2011)

art we are often better reflects the reality that substantial theoretical essays, as in the case of the song "The Fool "by Silvio Rodriguez. In the short minutes of this song contains a valuable lesson about politics, life, dignity, when it comes to Revolution come to be the same thing.
The story goes that in Cuba's Special Period, the time when the Soviet Union collapsed debated the fate of socialism, this song helped to curb the revolutionary temper of those people who succeeded in his desire to preserve for the cause of socialism humanity. Much is humanity Cuba: in times of darkness, disappointment, skepticism, was able to keep alive the flame of socialist hope. And much is the cause of Socialism to this song. Demonstrates that art is a powerful weapon when it goes into combat for the most noble causes of humanity.
The song tells the story of Silvio, when he is invited by some to pop talanquera, moderate its position and stop fighting for socialism. If he does not repent, they threaten. Silvio says, and it is here that cries out that summarizes the meaning of the life of a revolutionary. In a few verses we see the power of song.
... to give me a corner of altars.
come inviting me to repent,
come inviting me not to lose,
come inviting me to an indefinite,
come inviting me to shit.
will say what happened ... fashion madness,
say that people are bad and undeserving,
more I'll keep on dreaming
antics ...
... They say I dragged over rocks
when the Revolution comes down,
to smash my hands and mouth,
I tear out eyes and tongue.
be that bore me stupid,
the folly of what today is a fool:
folly to assume the enemy,
folly of living without money.
I die as I lived.
An eternal lesson: the revolutionary is a consistent, revolutionary life is the story of consistency. You die as you live. Living and dying are the same path stations.
Resteaos With Chavez!
